How E911 works on CariCell

When you call 911 from your CariCell line over Wi-Fi, emergency services use the registered address you gave us — not necessarily where you are standing. Keep that address current, especially if you move or travel.

Limits you should know

• 911 over Wi-Fi may not work if the power is out, the internet is down, or your device cannot reach Wi-Fi.
• Your location may not be sent automatically. Dispatchers rely on the address we have on file, and on what you can tell them.
• Emergency calling over Wi-Fi is not available everywhere, and may not work the same way as a traditional wireless 911 call.
